Life’s challenges drive and focus for this Utah recipient
If there is one thing you should know about Holly Curby, it’s that she doesn’t quit.
Despite some tremendous challenges personally and professionally, she has remained determined and focused. She’s embraced everything that has come her way. As a single mother to her two children, she’s found a new career path as the regional marketing director for Chick-fil-A in Draper, Utah and continued to serve others within her community.
Last fall, she embarked on fulfilling a lifelong dream by enrolling in Western Governors University to pursue a master’s degree in management and leadership. It has been 14 years since she earned her undergraduate degree, and now she’s taking the lessons she’s learning in the classroom and applying them to her job at her Chick-fil-A restaurant.
“Holly is a part of our director team. She has helped us grow our brand in the local community in very significant ways,” said Troy Apolonio, franchise Operator of the Draper Chick-fil-A and South Towne Marketplace Chick-fil-A.
Apolonio surprised Curby with news that she had been selected as one of 13 Chick-fil-A Team Members to receive a $25,000 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Scholarship for her outstanding leadership, academic achievement and community involvement.
