Change isn’t always easy. Sometimes it takes extraordinary circumstances that are out of our control to force us to rethink habits. On March 30, Atlanta came to a near standstill when a section of a major highway collapsed from a fire. In a city that’s synonymous with traffic, this could have devastated daily commutes.
Logan Shore is enjoying a beautiful afternoon in Mesa, Ariz. It’s sunny and 75 degrees— weather the 22-year-old Minnesota native is not used to seeing in February, but will gladly take. It’s a surreal moment for Shore. It’s a day he has thought about for months. And it all started with a phone call last June.
Opening day for the Atlanta Braves will look a lot different this year. The team left Turner Field, its home of more than 20 years, and headed 14 miles north to the all-new SunTrust Park, where a new chapter of Braves baseball will be written. But it’s not just the Braves who have moved on – so, too, has the team’s biggest fan: a 40-foot tall, 36,000-pound Cow.
Brandi Milloy never imagined she would one day be known for food.“I always thought that I’d be just like my dad, who was a pilot in the Army,” says Milloy, whose family moved all over the world with the U.S. Military during her childhood.But a journalism degree would set Milloy along a much different course – from investigative reporting and entertainment news early in her career and later to a dream job at the lifestyle publication POPSUGAR. “I just never imagined my passion for food, people and culture could be a profession,” says Milloy.
Don’t let the name intimidate you. “Frittata is just a fancy word for egg dish, and this one is so easy to make,” says Brandi Milloy, TV host and food reporter at POPSUGAR Food’s Eat the Trend. Milloy suggests making the recipe – which is baked in mini muffin tins -- on Sunday to save for the rest of the week or freeze for later. “When you’re ready to warm them up, just pop them in the oven or wrap them in a damp towel and heat them in the microwave,” she says.
“This is a great recipe when you have a lot of people over, and you need something impressive but don’t have a ton of time to prepare it,” says Brandi Milloy, TV host and food reporter of POPSUGAR Food’s Eat the Trend, who also makes regular appearances on the Today Show sharing her favorite recipes. “It’s like sunshine on a plate.”
